ALMORINDA FERREIRA CORREIA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, Almorinda Correia, on Friday, December 19, 2003. Born on March 28, 1948 in Faja de Cima, Sao Miguel Acores, and she immigrated to Canada in 1972. She passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her son Heitor Manuel; father Heitor Ferreira. She leaves to mourn her husband of 37 years, Manuel F. Correia; daughter Susy (Dennis) son Rui (Kim) and daughter Sandy (Paulo) and four grandchildren that she cherished very much, Corey, Aleksia, Justin and Cynthia. Also left to mourn is her mother Maria Luisa Ferreira; sister Leanor (Manuel) brother Humberto (Dina) godmother Luisa Correia (who was one of her greatest supporters) and many nephews and nieces, relatives and special friends. We would like to thank Pastor Manuel Bessa for spiritually supporting our mother and making her faith even stronger. Visitation service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, Monday, December 22 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Almorindas life will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home.
